Third podium in the third race: Marc Gerstenkorn is still on the fast track and secured another win and the vice title at the final of the South German ADAC Kart Cup in Mülsen. Already next weekend he will be at the same place for the ADAC Kart Masters.

After his third place at the SAKC in Ampfing and the victory in Bopfingen, Marc Gerstenkorn traveled to the final of the South German Championship in Mülsen well prepared. The 1,315-meter track near Zwickau was part of the race calendar for the first time and was also considered a last test for the ADAC Kart Masters – which is also a guest at the track next weekend.

Already in qualifying Marc showed that he is well prepared. The protégé from the CV Performance Group took the best time and thus had a good starting position for the finals. On a wet track, the Swiss-born driver was unstoppable in the first run. With clean performance, he drove away from the rivals and had a lead of more than five seconds at the finish.

It was much closer in the second run. This time on a dry track there were numerous slipstream games in the Minis. At the finish Marc missed his second success by a hair’s breadth. Nevertheless, there was every reason to be happy at the awards ceremony: as the day’s winner, he finished the season with the vice title.

“Since my team change in the second half of the season, I have scored the most points and made a significant leap forward. I’m happy to continue like this. My mechanic and the CV Performance Group are doing a great job and supporting me. I feel very comfortable and am looking forward to the remaining races,” said the eleven-year-old in high spirits in the final interview.

On Friday, Marc will continue with the ADAC Kart Masters. He also wants to repeat his triumph in Mülsen.
