Last weekend I participated in the KTWB race in Wackersdorf. As I had never driven the Kart Republic kart on this track before, the main thing was to gain experience and data.
This time I was also without my mechanic Dominik on the track, my father took care of my kart.
The practice sessions on Saturday went very well and we were able to try out a few things – the times were definitely good.
On Sunday, unfortunately, the technical devil struck and so I had to fight with engine problems in qualifying and in the first race. P4 in qualifying was behind my own target and also in the first race I didn’t get beyond P3.
In the second race, things went better at the beginning and I was able to move up to P2 right after the start – I lost it again in the meantime but was able to regain it at the end.
In the Parc Fermée we found the reason for the inconsistency…
So more would have been possible, but again I learned something and so I feel well prepared for the big final of the ADAC Kart Masters next weekend!
At the end remained overall 3rd place and the fastest measured lap of the weekend!
